Beyond the P&L: Four Price Analytics Tools for Increasing Profit
Finance professionals can use data to guide companies towards effective pricing practices, but it requires moving beyond traditional accounting analysis.
This session will look at four price analytics tools to increase profitability with price management. The first tool, the price waterfall, is the foundation for identifying and prioritizing price leakage issues. The presentation will introduce other tools that can be used to find price increase opportunities and improve price operations. Insights gained through price analytics tools are the key to convincing your company leadership to drive profit with price improvement.

Steve Kemp has over 25 years of management experience in pricing and finance roles. He has led pricing organizations in several industries including online information services, financial self-service, information systems infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing. Steve’s most recent corporate role was at a mid-size manufacturing company. In that role he established a strategic pricing function and implemented improvements in price strategy, analytics, and quote process. He retired from that position in 2020.
Steve is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified Pricing Professional (CPP). He has an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in civil engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
